Jasper Simons

Jasper began working as a contemporary artist in 2023, five years after a series of epileptic seizures and a resulting brain injury altered the course of his life.

Jasper works with lines, cuts, and shapes to explore tension and restraint. His art seeks clarity through process, friction, and time. He builds series around elemental forms, creating compositions that hold both rawness and tenderness.

Each piece moves slowly, shaped by pressure, repetition, and the wish to preserve what feels pure. Influenced by postwar abstraction, Brutalist design, and traditional craft, his work is quiet and deliberate.
